Daily Bulletin for October 3rd

Good morning Floodwood students and staff.  Today is Wednesday, October 3rd.

The following post-secondary schools will be here to visit juniors and seniors: University of Wisconsin Superior will be here next Tuesday @ 1:00 and College of St. Scholastica will be here next Thursday @ 9:00. Sign up on Ms. Fierke's door if you are interested.

Homework Help has started in the Polar Den every Wednesday starting at 3:00 p,m. Please take advantage of the service from the volunteers that are willing to help. Also, food is available for purchase Wednesday during lunch and after school.

Submit your Independent Student Art to Ms. Gillespie again this year to go in the yearbook. Paintings, drawings, sculpture, anything that can be photographed will be good.

The PBIS team is asking students to bring in gently-used or new books for a book exchange at the elementary Family Fun Night on October 16.  If you're able to donate, please give to your classroom teacher. Please spread the word. 

Meadowlands is looking for volunteers to help with the Halloween Party on Saturday Oct 27th from 10:45-1:00.  Please contact Ms. Fierke if you're interested

The Bookmobile will be here next Tuesday.  Sign up with Ms. Davidson if you want to go and please have your library card or a photo of the bar-code. 

Tech Tip: properly shutting down your Chromebook between classes will help if you are having trouble with a slow startup.  If you're experiencing slow startup, do a hard shutdown.  If you need help with this, please see Ms. Davidson.

Mark your calendars for The Scholastic Book Fair which will be here November 12 thru the 15th.  It will be in the Kid's Plus room again.  If you want to have your pet in the cutest pet contest, please see Ms. Davidson for contest rules and requirements.

The cafeteria will be open from 2:30 to 2:50 for a la carte purchases today.

Are you made for the stage? If so, students in grades 7-12 are encouraged to sign up in the office if you are interested in participating in a fall play. See Ms. Gillespie for more information.

Cub Scout Pack #120 will be holding their Scout sign up meeting tonight from 6:00 to 6:30 pm in the basement of Hope Lutheran Church for 1st – 5th graders.

This is a reminder that if you eat breakfast or lunch there is no food allowed anywhere in the school other than in the cafeteria.
