Daily Bulletin for January 24, 2020

Good morning Floodwood students and staff. Today is Friday, January 24th.

Good luck to the boy’s basketball team in their home game against Barnum tonight.

High School students 3rd hour please go to the following classes. 7th & 8th – Mr. Olesiak, 9th – Mr. Bartsch, 10th – Ms. Hanson, 11th – Ms. Taylor, and 12th – Ms. Davidson.

The Minnesota State Patrol District 3100 is hosting a mentorship program for high school seniors interested in a career in law enforcement. This is a great way to learn the many facets of the Minnesota State Patrol. The deadline to submit a completed application is Feb. 10. Please see Ms. Stupke for an application.

There will be no Title 1 with Mr. Svatos today.

Lake Country Power is now accepting applications for a free trip to the Electric Cooperative Youth Tour in Washington D.C. Juniors and seniors whose parents or legal guardians pay an electric bill to Lake Country Power are eligible to apply. Students have the opportunity to learn about electric co-ops, American history, U.S. government, and visit national monuments. The deadline to apply is March 3. See Ms. Stupke for an application.

There is a copper coin in a plastic case that went missing right after Christmas Break. If found, please return to the office.

Next Wednesday is Hat Day. Remember to bring in your $1.00. A student will be around to collect your money.

During lunch on Wednesday there will be a student council meeting in Mr. Root’s room.

Seniors please check your email for information about the upcoming Senior Showcase hosted by Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College on Feb. 13. See Ms. Stupke if you have questions.

If you haven’t already signed up for the Driver’s Ed course, please remember to sign up in the office if you are interested. We need at least 25 students to do the course.

Attention Seniors, Tuesday, January 28th First hour, in Ms. Gillespie's classroom, there will be a meeting to start your Dollars for Scholars profile. This will be a chance to get help starting and have questions answered about the scholarships. A representative will be there to explain the process and answer questions.

Today’s lunch is Individual Pizza, romaine salad, carrots, fruit, and milk.

Tuesday’s breakfast is Breakfast Wrap, fruit cup, and juice.

Happy Birthday to Aiden Williams on Sunday the 26th, and to Dalton Hutchinson and Drake Laine on Monday the 27th.
