Daily Bulletin for February 18, 2020

Good morning Floodwood students and staff. Today is Tuesday, February 18th.

Good luck to the boys’ basketball team in their home game tonight against Chisholm. Good luck to the girls’ basketball team in their away game at Greenway. Bus load time is 4:10 pm.

Thank you all for a great Snow Week! Student Council would like to say congratulations to 1st and 7th grade for winning the class competitions!

There will be a short Student Council meeting tomorrow during lunch in the Band room.

The National Honor Society students are excited to give you an update on our Pennies for Patients program! For our second week, we have raised $67.88 to cure cancer, Bringing our total to $189.80! Our donations are helping to make cures happen! The 5th/6th grade class brought in $28.22 last week. They will receive the 2nd week prize. Check out the poster on the purple bear to see what your class total is. We have 2 more weeks to reach or surpass our school goal - Keep on bringing in those pennies!

Mr. Bartsch’s 3rd hour class please report to Ms. Gillespie’s room and 4th hour class to Ms. Hanson’s room.

This week we will begin handing out Polar Pride Paws to staff. Students, if you notice a school staff member doing something you feel is worthy of a Pride Paw, you may get a paw from Deb in the office, fill it out and give it to the staff member that earned it. We want to recognize the great things happening with our students and staff!

Talent Search 7th-9th graders remember to turn in your permission slip to the office by this Friday for the WITC and UWS Campus visits.

Plan ahead for Prom for 10 – 12 grade girls. Barnum High School is hosting a “If the Dress Fits” event on Sunday, Feb 23, 2020 from 2 – 4 pm in the Media Center. Over 100 free prom dresses. One dress per teen. Teen needs to be present.

Today’s lunch is Chicken Strips, sweet potato fries, cucumber, fruit, and milk.

Tomorrow’s breakfast is Cherry Frudel, fruit cup, and juice.

Congratulations to this week’s Polar Pride Prize winners. You can stop in the office and pick up your prize.
