On August 20th, the school board of Floodwood School District 698 made a decision to place a question on the November 6th general election ballot asking residents to decide on an operating levy to support general school operations. The district is asking for the levy in order to maintain the programming currently in place; not for additional programming.
Another information meeting for the district residents will take place on Monday, October 15th at 6:00PM in the Floodwood School media center. We want to make sure all voters have the information to understand why the district is asking for the operating referendum, what the funds would be used for, what steps the district has taken already, etc.
