Teacher Tips to Parents & Students To Get Ready To TEST 

  • Get a good night’s sleep.

  • Eat a healthy breakfast.

  • Think positively!  (Remember how much you’ve learned this year!)

Use your strategies.

  •  Stay focused on the task in front of you.

  • Plan something fun for when you’re done. (a sweet treat, a movie, a trip to the playground)

Always do your BEST!!!

Community Vaccine Clinic at

Wednesday, May 12th; 11:00 am – 6:00 pm 

The Pfizer vaccine will be administered. Second dose shots will  be issued in 3 weeks at the same location. 

This clinic is for anyone age 16+* 

 

** Individuals who are 16 or 17 years old will need to be accompanied by a parent, or be living  independently and emancipated from their parents **

Vaccine Outreach Campaign: Teens

Getting vaccinated will help give Minnesota’s teens the best chance to learn in-person, participate in sports and activities, attend graduation, and go to prom. Of course, they still need to continue masking, handwashing, and social distancing. For those still too young to be vaccinated, testing is critical.

If you have experienced hardship due to the pandemic and need assistance to pay your rent or utility bills, you may be eligible for COVID-19 Emergency Rental Assistance.  The state has new emergency assistance to help. People can apply online here or call 211 for assistance working through the process.

Thank you parents for keeping your sick children home and helping us stay in school.  This truly makes a HUGE difference.

IMPORTANT QUARANTINE REQUIREMENTS FOR ATTENDING SCHOOL:

Students must quarantine for 14 days if exposed to a person with COVID-19 (Even if they test negative)

Students must quarantine for 10 days if tested positive for COVID-19.

Students must quarantine for 24 days if you test negative but a household member tests positive (Positive household members are contagious for 10 days and it can take 14 days for a person to show symptoms).  

We have seen symptoms not show up until day 14, we have seen household members show symptoms on day 23.  PLEASE HELP US KEEP SCHOOL OPEN!  WE CONTINUE TO COUNT ON YOU!  

Keep students home for:  fever, cough, difficulty breathing, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, chills, muscle pain, extreme fatigue, bad headache and/or runny nose.

These are required guidelines from MDH for all schools in Minnesota.  


FREE COVID-19 Testing available for all Middle and High Schoolers every Tuesday

  • Parents must establish an account for the student at COVID.VLT.CO prior to testing 

  • FREE OF CHARGE.
