Floodwood Dollars for Scholars
Amount: In an average year, Dollars for Scholars awards 35 to 40 scholarships ranging from $200 to $2500. Since Floodwood Dollars for Scholars started 1987 over $300,000 has been awarded to over 600 students to further their education.
Deadline: The application window is open from the 2nd Monday in February to the 2nd Friday in April annually.

Marshall H and Nellie Alworth Memorial Fund has been providing scholarships in Science and Math Since 1949.
Amount: $24,000 (over 4 years)
Deadline: window opens November 1st and closes January 15th

Eligibility-
Composite Score of 24 or higher on the ACT.
Pursuing a 4 year degree
Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
Commits to a qualifying STEM major
Family taxable income is less than $125,000
One letter of recommendation from a Math or Science teacher.

Boreal Waters Community Foundation
Formerly known as Duluth-Superior Area Community Foundation. One application, multiple scholarship opportunities!
Amount: Each year the foundation has awarded more than $800,000 in scholarships to students who live in Northeast Minnesota and Northwest Wisconsin.
Deadline: portal opens in December 1st and closes February 24th.
Eligibility: varies depending on the scholarship. Eligibility quiz will help you determine what scholarships you qualify for.

Minnesota Power offers scholarships to students in their service area pursuing both bachelors (4 year) and associates (2 year) degrees.
Amount: $1000-$2000
Deadline: Deadline: portal opens in December 1st and closes February 24th.

Lake Country Power Scholarship
Amount: up to $4000
Deadline: window open January 1-January 31st

Eligibility:
Applicants must have a High School Grade Point Average of 2.5 or higher.
Must have Lake Country Power as a Power Company.
Submit an essay referencing goals and future plans.
Must demonstrate a commitment to community through active involvement in civic affairs or volunteerism in community organizations.

Amount: MN Masonic has six different scholarships to apply for ranging from $2500-$6000.
Deadline: window open January 1-February 28th
Eligibility: varies. Some GPA requirements apply for scholarships for students pursuing a bachelors (4 year) degree. Career & technical scholarship has no minimum GPA.

Eligibility: No minimum GPA required! Winners are selected on based on their essay on needs in their community. Open to all seniors in NE Minnesota.

Gilmore Family Scholarship Foundation
Amount: varies from year to year
Deadline: window open Nov 13-Jan 12
Eligibility: Open to students in southern St. Louis county

Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College Multimedia Production Scholarship
Amount: $2500
Deadline: August 1
Eligibility: Must maintain a 2.0 gpa and meet additional criteria outlined in the application.

Bluebird Foundation Scholarship
Amount: $500-$2500
Deadline: November 20th
Eligibility: open to area students who want to continue their interests in the arts (music, dance, theater, etc) in college. (Do not necessarily have to major in the arts.)

SFM supports students in Minnesota whose parents were killed or seriously injured in a workplace accident.
Amount: up to $15k/year, renewable
Deadline: March 31st

Scholarship for students who plan to attend a 4 year college or university. Up to $7500 per semester! Must have a 3.5 or better GPA, work at least 240 hours during your senior year before you start college (summer job OK too) and have financial need (household adjusted gross income of $100,000 or less).

This is a rare opportunity for Juniors. 800 state level scholarships of $10,000 and 105 national scholarships of $25,000.

Open to students in the Duluth-Iron Range area planning to go to either a 4 year or 2 year school. Must have a 3.0 or better GPA.
Amount: $1500

Minnesota State Horticultural Society-Dist. 8 Scholarship
Four or more scholarships ranging from $250-$600 will be awarded to students in the MN Arrowhead region who plan to attend a 2 or 4-year school OR a college student OR a second-time recipient OR a non-traditional student. Applicant must provide evidence of an interest in horticultural/gardening activities. (Examples: home garden, 4-H, community garden, etc.)

EAA Chapter 412 Aviation Scholarship
Open to students going into any aviation related training (i.e., pilot training, aircraft mechanic, air traffic controller, etc.).

Emberg Scholarship
For students planning to attend a technical or trade school in NE MN or NW Wisconsin. Must have a 2.5 or better GPA.

Minnesota Construction Association
2 programs: $1000 scholarships for students going into a construction related technical field (iHVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc) and another one for up to $4000 for students going to a 4 year school for construction management or related field.

Horatio Alger Career and Technical Scholarship Program
Scholarships are awarded to students who have overcome great obstacles in their lives and wish to pursue a career or technical degree/certificate/diploma at a not-for-profit trade/vocational school or community college in the United States. This year, 300 students will be awarded with scholarships up to $2,500 to help fund their education or outside costs such as childcare, transportation, equipment, or supplies.
