Community Education Advisory Reschedule Notice

Invest Early, an early childhood program in the Itasca area, is currently undertaking an initiative to catalog the present opportunities for child care enhancement in the region, aiming to grasp an updated view of the current landscape of need and opportunity.
Business of Child Care will be hosting a series of listening sessions to hear from
everyone who benefits from child care – employers, school district(s), and
civic/government leaders – as well as those already providing this important
service, our existing child care providers.
Through IASC (Itasca Area Schools Collaborative), which Floodwood is a part of, we are invited to the table in this discussion. They want to hear from all 7 of IASC's districts. If you are interested in sharing input, please see the images on how to register.

Read Across America Week March 4-8

A group of 10th and 11th grade Floodwood girls attended the Women in the Workforce event held on the MN North College Grand Rapids campus. They heard from a panelist of women who work in careers that are male dominated jobs. They told their stories and answered questions. This was a great opportunity for the girls to be exposed to jobs and opportunities they may have not thought of before. Then the girls attended a hands on session and checked out the booths set up with more information.

Due to continued health issues among players and coaches, tonight's Girls basketball game at Ogilvie is canceled.
