Due to weather closures, Kindergarten Roundup will be held at 5pm on Friday April 5th. Any families interested in enrolling their student in Kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year are welcome to join. On Thursday March 21st, Floodwood students celebrated the end of the 3rd quarter. Elementary students went to Thunder Alley Bowling and Arcade in Grand Rapids, with a special thank you to Clothing Etc for their donation to help keep the cost low for our elementary students to bowl and play in the arcade. High School students enjoyed volleyball and playing bags.

Floodwood School will have a two hour late start on Wednesday March 27th due to road conditions. The building will be open at 9:45am with classes starting at 10:25am.

Due to the road conditions Floodwood School will be transitioning from a two hour late start to full closure today, Tuesday March 26th. Conferences and activities will also be cancelled. Please reach out to your students teachers to reschedule conference times.

Spring break is Thursday March 28, 2024 through Monday April 1, 2024. There will be no school and the district office will also be closed during this time.

Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Monday March 25th and Tuesday March 26th from 3:30-7pm. Elementary students scheduled times were sent home. High School conferences will not have set times. Parents can visit with teachers on a first come first, serve basis. If you have any questions regarding conferences, please reach out to your students teachers or the district office.

Anyone interested in judging the Science Fair on Friday May 10, please contact the district office.

Claire Johnson and Isabella Hanke competed in the 7A sectional music competition in Crosby. Isabella received an Excellent rating and Claire received a Superior rating and will move onto State. Congratulations to both for amazing performances.

Floodwood Students 3rd-8th, 10th and 11th graders will be completing state testing (MCAs) in reading, math and science throughout the month of April. Thanks to free breakfast for all students, every child will be provided a healthy meal to start the day. If you would like to support our students through a donation of a snack to have during testing, we would gladly share that with students on testing days. These donations can be dropped off with the front office. Thank you! *Peanut free please

Band Concert tomorrow night, March 14th, at 6pm in the large gymnasium.
