Super Second graders have become park planners! Our unit talks about a city park and how this is one benefit of a government. Using legos, your child and their team has started a model. We think Floodwood needs a park for kids! Phase 1 of planning has begun.

Super Second graders are on a mission to tell the class what time it is at their house. We are looking for times that are a quarter after (15), half past (30), or a quarter till, (45). Super Second graders will use these photos as we make up our story. For example: "A movie night is planned at this time at _____'s house. What time do you need to be there?" Sincerely, Mr. Nelson

Tomorrow on Wednesday Super Second Graders will perform "contraction surgery!" We will study our patients. I had a patient named "cannot." After surgery he came out feeling brand new with a different look, "can't." The band-aid is our apostrophe. Armed with their scapel (scissors), non-latex gloves, mask and their knowledge of a patient, Super Second Graders will perform their "surgery." Sincerely, Mr. Nelson
