Reminder!! Tonight’s Floodwood School's Back to School Open House is from 4 to 6pm. There will be a picnic meal provided by the local churches. Teachers will be in their classrooms from 4 to 5:30pm. Superintendent Sue Hoeft and Principal Amanda Fjeld will have a welcome announcement at 5:30pm in the large gym for all in attendance. Please complete enrollment forms if you haven’t already done so. Open House will be a great time to visit classrooms, drop off supplies and pay technology and sports fees. Chromebooks will be handed out the first week of school. Hope to see you all tonight to kick off a great school year! Go Polar Bears!!

With a new school year, there are some changes to the Floodwood Schools Attendance processes. Two of the changes to note are Exempt Absences and Vacation Absence Notification.
An absence is considered exempt when the absence is accompanied by a note or letter on a physician's document excusing the student for medical or dental reasons. Exempt absences will not contribute to excused absence counts or total absence percentages and counts.
Family vacations absences submitted through the “Vacation Absence Notification” form, found on the district website, will allow staff to prepare work for students to stay current on assignments while gone from school on family vacations. These absences will then be excused.
