New cell phone policy (please discuss this with your child):
Students will not be allowed to use or have cell phones during class/instructional time. When they enter the classroom there will be a designated location for their cell phone. It will be expected that each student places their cell phone in this location. This expectation is in compliance with a new law that requires school districts to have a policy in place to reduce the impact of cell phones on students’ mental health, behaviors, and academics.
In order for this to be successful and to have the most benefit for our students, we need your help. Please discuss this with your child(ren) and support this policy as we follow through on our end.

Floodwood School 6th Graders enjoyed a fun trip to the Twin Cities on May 16th. Students visited Fort Snelling, Minnesota State Capital and ended the day with a Twins game.
Track and Field Day was a blast!!

The end of the school year is right around the corner. We will be collecting chromebooks and chargers the last week of school. If students are not sure where your charger is, start looking.
